Wonderia v0.5.18 — Better Farming with Mousey-Mouse

Released: August 2026 (Steam app 2593340). v0.5.18 is the farming-focused quality pass players asked for after launch: Mousey-Mouse can now sow while sprinting, basic tools gain resizable work areas, and targeting follows the cursor more naturally.

Pair with the updated farming guide and world rules. Timeline: updates hub.

Mousey-Mouse: farm MVP

Mousey-Mouse already excelled at bulk harvest. v0.5.18 adds a second Transformer skill that auto-sows seeds along its sprint path.

Tips from the patch notes:

  • Put seeds in Tools or Bag.
  • The skill uses the first plantable seed for the current tile.
  • Seeds in Tools take priority over Bag.

Together with Water Wheels for mass watering, Mousey-Mouse can now cover sow + harvest—a true farming all-star before full automation arrives.

Earlier QoL (2229): Mousey-Mouse Spirit cost dropped from 8 → 1, so morph farming is much cheaper.

Hoe, shovel, and water bottle areas

Maximum working area of hoes and shovels now scales with tier from 1×1 up to 4×4. Larger tools can be resized anytime—shrink for precision, expand for tilling or clearing.

Advanced Water Bottle max watering area also rises to 4×4.

Even without Mousey-Mouse, Wanderers get a stylish farm loop with basic tools.

Natural tile targeting

Hoe, shovel, sow, and water targeting:

  • No longer locked only to character facing—follows mouse cursor or controller stick more naturally.
  • Affected tiles show tile-by-tile, so you see exactly what you will work.

First-pass control work—devs want more feedback.

Seed economy: Verdant Growth & Berry Bird

  • Verdant Growth Academy skill: player-planted crops now also get the increased seed-drop chance.
  • When a Berry Bird appears during farming, it immediately drops one matching seed, so the event never leaves you with fewer seeds than you planted.

Recovery items still need lots of crops—this update wants harvest→expand→cook to feel fair.

Other fixes in the same notes

  • Zipline Hook loadout-switch and held-graphic fixes.
  • Multiplayer: enemy chase updates after area changes; boulder resource sync consistency.

What to do after updating

  1. Confirm v0.5.18+ in Steam.
  2. Bind or practice Mousey-Mouse’s new sow skill on a test plot.
  3. Resize a mid-tier hoe to 4×4, then shrink to 1×1 for edge beds.
  4. Revisit farming and Self-Powered Sprinkler notes if you craft precision irrigation.
  5. Hosts: remind co-op farmers that Tools-slot seeds win over Bag seeds.

v0.5.18 turns farming from “plant one tile forever” into a morph-and-tool playground—update before your next pantry night.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Wonderia questions.

What is new in Wonderia v0.5.18?

Mousey-Mouse auto-sow along sprint paths, hoe/shovel areas up to 4×4 with resize, natural tile targeting, Verdant Growth for player crops, and Berry Bird guaranteed matching seeds.

How does Mousey-Mouse planting work?

Activate the second Transformer skill and sprint; it sows the first plantable seed from Tools (priority) or Bag along the path.

Can I resize hoe and shovel areas?

Yes. Higher-tier tools unlock larger max areas up to 4×4 and can shrink back to 1×1 for precision.

Does this replace Water Wheels?

No. Water Wheels still mass-water; Mousey-Mouse now covers sow and harvest while wheels (or bottles) handle moisture.
